Anniversary edition V-Rod 10 is a tribute to the 2002 original V-Rod, who introduced the motorcycle liquid-cooled Revolution engine and new styling direction for Harley-Davidson. Introduced as a 2002 model, the original V-Rod ushered in a new era of Harley-Davidson performance. A 60-degree 1130cc Revolution ® V-Twin engine is the first production Harley-Davidson engines equipped with an overhead cam shaft and liquid cooling, and comes with a 9000-RPM redline high winding. Inspired by drag-racing motor bikes and monster, custom, V-Rod debuted with aluminum disc wheels, chassis scooped out, fast-back seats and anodized aluminum bodywork, a new styling direction for Harley-Davidson. Only in 10 years, Harley-Davidson V-Rod family grew to include a number of new models. V-Rod took to the track as the basis for the 2007 Custom Vehicle Operations V-Rod Destroyer, eight second factory drag racer. This is also the inspiration for Harley-Davidson Screamin ‘Eagle / Vance & Hines V-Rod, four-time world champion in Pro Stock Motorcycle drag racing professionals. For 2012, Harley-Davidson V-Rod model continues to serve until the performance of explosives and urban-cool styling for riders looking to experience the power of single-cruiser.

All 2012 V-Rod models are powered by the latest version of the Revolution engine, liquid cooled 1250cc V-Twin engine with double overhead camshafts, four-valve cylinder head and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). This powertrain is equipped with Assist and Slip clutch, five speed transmission and high performance carbon fiber drive belt. Michelin radial tire blistering, including the rear 240mm. Brembo triple-disc brakes ® performance available with an optional factory-installed anti-lock braking system (ABS).
